This Sunday is Palm/Passion Sunday, marking the beginning of Holy Week. It’s called Palm/Passion Sunday because the service begins with PALMS as we recollect Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem when people waved branches and shouted “hosanna,” which means “Save! Save me! Save us!” The service then pivots and draws us toward and into Christ’s PASSION, including Jesus’ betrayal and crucifixion. Our talented and dedicated choir leads us through the joys and sorrows of this important day through the eyes of the very human Apostle Peter in a a beautiful musical presentation, “Upon This Rock.”
Scripture passages: Luke 19:28-40
