Our scripture reading for this Sunday draws our attention to the power of tradition. When does a tradition offer healthy structure and a sense of belonging and when does it get in God’s way? The biblical tradition in question has to do with the state of our hands. On this Sunday of Labor Day weekend, we’ll focus on hands and their remarkable role in God’s good labor. Our service will include a “Blessing of the Hands.”
Scripture: Mark 7:1-8, 14-15, 21
