Lent is a season when Christians traditionally take time to refocus on a life of faith and dedication to God. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, Lent lasts for forty days not including Sundays and leads to Easter Sunday.
A common tradition during Lent is to give up a habit or food (sometimes known as fasting) in an effort to connect more fully with God. This Lent, PB UMC embarks on a sermon series through which we will consider some particular things to give up for lent: control, superiority, expectations, and more.
In parallel to this series, small groups have formed to begin deep discussion on these important lessons. Evening groups are available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and daytime groups are available on Thursdays and Saturdays. Please contact the Church office for more detail.
