Thousands of individuals, families, and unaccompanied children experience homelessness annually in San Diego County.
Understanding our homeless allows our community to adjust the types of programs and services available according to need, for the most effective use of limited resources. Who are our homeless? Where are they? What led to their homelessness? What do they need in order to move forward with their lives?
In the early morning hours of January 27, 2017, hundreds of volunteers will participate in the WeAllCount. Census in 27 locations throughout San Diego. This event, led by the Regional Task Force on the Homeless, enables our entire region to better understand the scope, impact, and potential solutions to homelessness. It also empowers our community to qualify for funding that is critical to keeping homeless shelters open throughout San Diego County.
If you are interested in helping with the count, contact Beth R. through the Church Office or visit the Regional Task Force on the Homeless website, www.rtfhsd.org.
