Jesus’ Priority: What Matters Most?
Come this Sunday to join in a conversation about how we can still be a congregation of deep faith while honestly exploring what may be unhealthy about our traditions and history
Interfaith Shelter 2017
By Kenneth B. This is our 31st season of hosting Interfaith Shelter Network guests at Pacific Beach UMC. The collaborative program serves more than 200 homeless men, women, and children in San Diego who receive shelter and other services for a two week period. Over the years, the demographical composition of shelter guests has changed; we are seeing more single mothers with children. Our guests will arrive Saturday, January 28th, to officially launch the start of the two week period…
We All Count
In the early morning hours of January 27, 2017, hundreds of volunteers will participate in the WeAllCount. Census in 27 locations throughout San Diego.

Visions and Voices
This week we celebrate worship on New Year’s Day and an opportunity for conversation within our congregation. While Pastor Bob is away, we will be led through our scripture and three questions to help us grow in our faith. Scripture Matthew 2:1-12 1After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in the territory of Judea during the rule of King Herod, magi came from the east to Jerusalem. 2They asked, “Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We’ve seen his star…
God Bless Us – Every One!
This week we celebrate the birth of the infant Jesus!! We get to hear the familiar story – hopefully with new and eager ears – about journeys and angels and shepherds and distant travelers. We also come to the end of our sermon series based on Matthew Rawle’s book, The Redemption of Scrooge. Don’t miss our Christmas Eve worship services at 5pm, 7pm, and 11pm. Our 5pm service will be especially family friendly and will include the familiar Christmas story told in a fun…
Accepting Christ’s Invitation
On this final Sunday in Advent, what do you fear? Where do those fears manifest and what is their origin? How do you respond?
