Everything In Between: Shouting and Silence

Everything In Between: Shouting and Silence

Our Lenten series is called Everything In Between: Meeting God in the Midst of Extremes.  Each week we lift up and examine a polarity, often viewed in our divided world as opposites.  Today as we enter into Holy Week, the biblical account of Palm Sunday invites us to explore the dynamic between “shouting” and “silence.” As Jesus enters Jerusalem, there is an abundance of both. What does shouting represent and when is it helpful? When is it harmful? How does silence operate to betray or bolster as we enter into these holy days that lead to Easter?
