Plain Speaking

This week we hear with fresh ears Jesus’ “sermon on the plain.”  You may be more familiar with the “sermon on the mount” as it comes to us from the Gospel writer Matthew. What do we see and hear differently as we engage with this passage through the lens of Luke’s gospel?  How does this passage offer deep encouragement and challenge, all at the same time?
