“Valentine” Expressions of Love for PB UMC

The following is a compilation of letters, notes, and other communications that have been sent to PB UMC over the last 12 months. These are expressions from both individuals and groups, who have been touched by the church. Pew note: I have been attending services to hear your thoughtful sermons first and the choir second. But after hearing the beautiful music today, I may reverse that order! They are excellent! Storefront: To all of our friends at PB UMC, thank…

A Journey

Dear friends… I hope and pray that we have all enjoyed a fulfilling Thanksgiving filled with good company, good food, and perhaps a bit of our favorite sport (whether that can be found on a television or a couch or a beach). It is an important thing to gather and give thanks for the richness of our lives, both in terms of material items and in terms of relationships. I have shared with some of you that I enjoyed a…

Florence will provide a dessert immediately following the performance. All are invited to attend. Our thanks to Maggie for accompanying…

The Homecoming

Question: What do you have in common with a 30-voice choir, a blue grass band, 10 actors and a great compelling story? Answer: A date with destiny on December 7th. In the tradition of great Christmas musicals, the Voices of Praise and the Act of Faith Players will present “The Homecoming: A Smoky Mountain Christmas,” at 9:00 am, 10:30 am and 6:00 pm in the PB UMC Sanctuary. The compelling and humorous story of sibling love and conflict comes to…
