This week our Gospel reading draws our attention to commandments that originate in Hebrew scripture/tradition and that are central to our Christian faith… the commandments to love God and our neighbor as our self. Jesus reminds us that these are not simply good words to “live by” but that they are words that “lead to life” itself. On this Stewardship Sunday, we’ll ponder these words alongside our new purpose statement: Learning and Living God’s Love for All.
